Evil Among Us was an interactive game I designed to deepen engagement during our three-day ZION 2024 conference for college students. Inspired by social deduction games like Mafia and Avalon, the game invited participants to uncover hidden evil within their groups. It was a creative way to help students wrestle with deeper questions about sin, division, and the reality of spiritual conflict.
Evil Among Us
To support the launch of Evil Among Us, I designed a detailed yet user-friendly facilitator’s guide to help volunteers lead the game with confidence. The goal was to make it clear enough for someone completely new to the game to teach and run it for over 400 students. The layout prioritized clarity, visual hierarchy, and accessibility with built-in tips to help facilitators manage timing, group dynamics, and unexpected moments. It was as much a teaching tool as it was a design challenge.
