SON OF A KING
This album cover was created to tell a very familiar, but deeply personal story…the story of the prodigal son. But instead of just focusing on the moment of return, we wanted the design to reflect the ongoing relationship between the son and the father. Not just one moment of reunion, but a connection that’s always there, even in distance, doubt, or rebellion.
I chose to illustrate this story using single-line art, because the relationship between the son and the father isn’t broken, it bends, it stretches, it loops, but it’s never cut. It reflects the cyclical nature of our own faith journeys. Seasons where we wander, return, wrestle, and come home again. One continuous line to reflect one continuous love.
